The City of Oshkosh, Wisconsin has two federally designated Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZs), which are economically distressed areas where tax incentives are offered for investment in development. QOZs are an economic development tool, designed for spurring economic growth and job creation. In 2006, The City received a $600,000 Brownfields grant from the EPA for assessment and cleanup of several parcels in the redevelopment area, which is a former industrial riverfront corridor that essentially links the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus to downtown Oshkosh.
Impact7G was contracted by Merge Urban Development Group to provide comprehensive environmental due diligence and remedial planning services for the vertical construction of five properties including The Shipyard, The Common Place, Brio, Mackson Corners, and Urbane210.
