Establishing Native Turf at One University Place

Posted in Blog

Impact7G just mowed part of this native turf (buffalograss) planting yesterday afternoon. We are controlling invasive species in the native planting and mowed the Bird’s-foot trefoil and crown vetch to prevent/ reduce seed set. We are happy to see that the buffalo grass and native wildflowers we planted are filling in well, but it’s still crucial to control invasive and other extremely competitive species while the turf gets established.

We love getting to work in our own backyard on environmental restoration projects. Please contact us if you have questions about our management strategy here or have a project you would like us to help with.
