Fall Cool Down & Radon Testing for Schools
October 16, 2023

Temperatures are beginning to cool off and we are creeping (spooky pun intended) into the heating season, which is the recommended time to have radon tests conducted in the Midwest. With the implementation of HF 2412 requiring radon testing and mitigation in public schools, all attendance centers must be tested at least once by July 1, 2027, and retested every 5 years thereafter.

The testing is recommended to be completed during normal occupied use of the buildings. Testing would take place in all occupied, ground-contact, rooms such as classrooms and offices. If your buildings are more than 1-story, additional testing would occur in 10% of the upper level, occupied rooms, per floor.

Impact7G’s radon measurement specialists are ready to assist with your project. We would be happy to speak with you about your testing needs, identify a timeline for completion, and provide a cost proposal. Please reach out to Tyler Silverthorn by email at [email protected], or by phone at (515) 468-1105 for additional information.
