Ryan Peterson, owner of Impact7G, Inc. of Clive, Iowa, has been selected as a participant in 10,000 Small Businesses, an entrepreneurial program for small business owners developed by Goldman Sachs. Mr. Peterson is among the first Iowa cohort of 40 small business owners announced in early December for training that starts this month, Iowa’s program is a pilot for developing a statewide version of the program, which to date has been offered in 14 major metros to more than 7,300 small businesses at no cost to the businesses. The program is based on a curriculum developed by Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Impact7G, Inc., a professional environmental and sustainability services firm, opened for business in 2011 and has since grown to 40 professional staff. According to Peterson, “We’ve experienced a great deal of success, and the 10,000 Small Business Program will help solidify our understanding of the fundamentals of sustainable business growth as we expand nationally.”
