A previously completed Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) identified multiple recognized environmental conditions (RECs) on the property and adjoining properties and recommending soil and groundwater sampling. Impact7G was retained by Mid-Iowa Community Action, Inc. to conduct a Limited Subsurface Investigation for the property.

Impact7G’s in-house drilling crew advanced four borings on the property in 2020. Soil boring locations were determined by Impact7G and placed in areas of the property that were presumed to adequately investigate the potential impacts from the historic uses of the property and adjoining properties. Soil and groundwater samples collected at the property were analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) metals, total extractable hydrocarbons (TEHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and pesticides. Based on the results of tested samples, Impact7G was able to make an informed and calculated recommendation about remedial actions.
